Medical Education
A strong education program for Honduran medical professionals is at
the heart of CAMO’s sustainable activities. CAMO provides in-service training
and professional growth opportunities to local physicians, nurses and technicians.
This results in a sense of ownership for their work and a dedication to
the quality and longevity of CAMO/Ministry of Health partnerships. CAMO
fosters counterpart relationships between Honduran and visiting medical
professionals. CAMO medical and technical volunteers make three- to five-year
commitments to their Honduran colleagues, collecting equipment, supplies,
and written materials to support program development. |
