Medical Services

The majority of the population in Honduras is without access to medical care. Over half of the population lives below the poverty line, living on $1.00 a day. Simple medical services that many of us take for granted are not available to the poor of Honduras.
CAMO provides medical programs that focus on providing medical care such as eye, plastic, and neurosurgery, along with orthopedics and urology. CAMO also has a prosthetics and orthotics lab and a wheelchair lab which includes fittings and repairs. A pathology lab has also been established, along with a dermatology program which runs a free clinic.
