Education
A strong education program for Honduras medical professionals is at the heart of CAMO’s sustainable activities. CAMO provides in-service training and professional growth opportunities to local physicians, nurses, and technicians. This results in a sense of ownership for their work and a dedication to the quality and longevity of CAMO/Ministry of Health partnerships. CAMO also fosters relationships between Honduran and visiting medical professionals. CAMO’s medical and technical volunteers make a commitment to serve on at least a 3 year commitment to their Honduran colleagues, collecting equipment, supplies, and educational materials to support program development.
Education includes community projects where CAMO continues to be involved and provide continuing educational courses. CAMO also has very specific medical education where it works with its counterparts.
