“For the many seeds you planted, a mighty tree has grown!”

This one of a kind, hand carved tree was provided by an amazing carpenter in Honduras. The back of each hand carved leaf shows a photo of a child or adult who has received education or medical care through CAMO’s programs. A booklet is also included which shares each individual’s story.

We call this the Giving Tree. The rule for this auction item is that the highest bidder keeps the Giving Tree for one year. The following year, the tree is re-donated to the Salsa Sizzle event for another opportunity to cherish the tree and the work of CAMO.

Join local bee keeper, Rod Frank, at his apiary in Wooster for a 3-4 hour beeking experience. During your time you will lean more about what goes into beekeeping, suit-up and visit the hives, and spin honey to take home! Ideally, this experience would need to be scheduled between mid-June and mid-October. The timing is dependent on how productive the bees are and also the weather, so flexibility is appreciated.

Hot Air Balloon Ride on the Magic Carpet:  Dennis Helmuth of Wooster Ohio practices Psychiatry.   But for fun, he flies the Magic Carpet.

“I don’t fly for hire—just for fun. My passengers are generally people who won a ride at a charity event or crew members. Wherever we land, and we don’t know where it’s going to be until it happens, it becomes an instant party, with giggling kids and champagne toasts. That’s usually followed by a crew debriefing over breakfast for a morning flight or pizza and beer after an evening flight. You see things that could not be seen any other way. On one of my wintertime long-distance flights, I descended from a clear sky through a layer of light clouds. Inside the cloud, the moisture was crystalizing as the sun shone through. For a few minutes, I was surrounded by thousands of sparkling diamonds! When I came out of the bottom of the cloud it was lightly snowing and I realized that I had just witnessed something that is rarely seen—snowflakes being born.”  –Denny

Following in the footsteps of his Uncle Robert and Vernon Tschiegg, David Bricker started making the infinity tables after retirement. This table is made of cherry wood and is hand crafted with LED lights that change colors.  The lights go on forever thus the name “Infinity.”
