Women & Child Health: 151K Doses Delivered in Honduras

The distribution of this year’s vitamins, prenatal supplements, and deworming treatments donated by Vitamin Angels has officially begun in Honduras, bringing essential nutrition support closer to women, children, and families who need it most.

Through its continued partnership with Fundación CAMO Honduras, Vitamin Angels is helping extend the reach of evidence-based nutrition resources across communities where access to these products can make an important difference. Vitamin Angels works with partners in more than 65 countries, helping 74 million women and children each year access nutrition support during the critical period from pregnancy through early childhood.

This year’s donation includes 15,120 bottles of prenatal multivitamins (MMS), 77,000 Albendazole tablets, 31,000 Vitamin A 100,000 IU capsules, and 77,000 Vitamin A 200,000 IU capsules.

CAMO will distribute these resources through 17 partner organizations and health institutions across the departments of Copán and Lempira, including health centers, regional and decentralized health networks, CAMO clinics, and other community partners. The distribution will reach communities including Santa Rosa de Copán, Gracias, La Unión, Sinuapa, Corquín, Sensenti, Belén Gualcho, Dulce Nombre de Copán, San Pedro de Copán, and surrounding areas.

Together, these partners will help extend the reach of the donation to an estimated 151,373 children and expectant mothers.

For CAMO, this distribution represents more than delivering nutritional products—it is about strengthening the ability of local health organizations to provide essential support to families in communities across Honduras.

We are grateful to Vitamin Angels for continuing to trust CAMO as a distribution partner and for helping make essential nutrition support more accessible to the people who need it most.
