Prison Fire Capital of the World?

"The story has now become so familiar that there's almost nothing more to say. We are now entering that dangerous point where we may be starting to become immune to it. After all, how many times can you yell fire before eventually no one bothers to pay attention anymore."

Note from Founder

Note from Founder (Kathy Tschiegg):

All 35 specialty teams have left Honduras, which represents over 85 warm bodies.

Every year we try to be better from the past and every year we almost reach perfection; but perfection is hard to reach and we can always do better. All the teams this year did a tremendous job working in a different culture and with their counterparts.

(Week 2) February Medical Brigades

A second week of amazing volunteers have completed their time in Honduras!

This past week, CAMO medical teams travelled to Santa Rosa de Copan to assist, train, and serve. Teams worked in the daycare, hospital, Teleton, Pathology, and surrounding villages: teaching asthma, Reflexology, Laporoscopy, Respiratory, physical therapy, tennis, NALS, trauma and nutrition as well as serving in kitchen, daycare, pathology, urology, biomedical and OBGYN.

(Week 1) February Medical Brigades

A week of Medical Teams has already came and went! And what an amazing week it was!

Plastic surgery saw over 80 consultations and completed over 40 surgeries!

The dental brigade visited 5 villages, opthalmology fixed cataracts and other vision problems, and many educational classes provided continued training for the Honduran medical professionals.

Over the next weeks more teams (consisting of 86 health specialists!) will travel to Honduras to volunteer of themselves.
